John Hyland is a successful financial advisor, entrepreneur, and author who is revered for his motivational speaking. In 1988, he graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and dual minored in Bible Studies and Political Science.
Less than a year after graduating from Liberty University, John Hyland started his first business, in the telecommunications industry. This business went on to be wildly successful, pulling down $7 million in revenue and employing 110 people.
On the subject of personal finance, John Hyland is an undisputed master. He is currently in the process of publishing a couple of books on personal finance. The first of these is unofficially titled “I'm OK, you're not OK...Financially Speaking” and is said to focus on changing our financial lives in a practical and prudent way.
The new book, due out soon, will focus on “creating a product and finding a buyer”, which is one of the central tenants of the book. The other is selling people “What they want”. Through these simple concepts, John Hyland paints a picture of an entrepreneurial project that blooms into a full blown business and promotes wealth and positive thinking to all involved. Mr. Hyland suggests that identifying one of these concepts for a business is essential and that most businesses who go under, fail to grasp these simple concepts and cling to one or the other.
